Jeff Bezos, of Jeffrey Preston Bezos, who remains on the cutting edge of the richest people in the world, was aware of that. 1. He's got deep pockets

His property value is estimated at $ 113 billion, which is 3,013 billion crowns.

2. As a child, he loved to experiment

Once he built a hovercraft from a vacuum cleaner and an umbrella covered with aluminum foil.

3. He lives in a "museum"

His current home is a mansion in Medina, Washington, which used to house a textile museum. The value of this home exceeds 25 million dollars, which is 575 million Czech crowns.

4. He's a big Star Trek fan

5. This devoted philantropist doesn't shy away from donating money

Bezos Expedetions donated about $ 20 million (CZK 460 million) to various educational projects. He also donated $ 25 million, (575 million Czech crowns), to the fight against cancer at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

6. He started with books, but not on a small scale

In 1995, during his first months in business, Amazon was already selling its books in 50 states and 45 international affiliates. The first book they sold was "Fluid Conception and Creative Analogy: Computer Models of Basic Thinking Mechanisms" by Douglas R. Hofstadter. This book can still be bought on the website, among many other things.

7. He's the owner of The Washington Post

In 2013, he bought the US daily The Washington Post for $ 250 million, or 5750 million Czech crowns in cash. He claimed that he didn't want to change the original aim of the newspaper, thereby ensuring the trust of its readers, and his popularity increased.

Already in his childhood, he felt great passion and love for space, which eventually resulted in the establishment of Blue Origin, his own company providing services in the area of space flights, in 2000. He also didn't hesitate to join a deep-sea rescue mission in 2013, when his team picked up pieces of rocket engines from the Atlantic Ocean. It was later discovered that they were part of Apollo 11, which had brought Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins to the Moon.
