This year's ball season was quite successful, but some of the fashion choices seemed questionable at best. We are still making a lot of mistakes in the field of social dress code. What kind of mistakes and where do we find inspiration for the next year?

Unfortunately, it was mostly about absurd standards in dress code, which often weren‘t met. Example is the rule that the waist of a dress should be as narrow as possible and the skirt wide. Or that women's pumps should have a closed tip, while the middle part and the heel can be open…

Poner – The crown jewel among Czech designs
When I was getting ready for the "Horses at Žofín" gala evening last week, there was no doubt in my mind as to who I would turn to when choosing my dress: the luxury brand Poner. If you are looking for the perfect cut, quality, elegance and originality, head straight to Prague's Maisel Street, where you can find just the thing - with a glass of champagne in your hand. I chose a luxurious velvet robe on one shoulder in dark burgundy. When I saw myself in the mirror, I realized for the first time in my life that there is power in the elegant simplicity! It's really not about a deep neckline or a high slit, and at the age of twenty-six I’ve finally grown up!

Dior: You can’t go wrong with a simple dress
I decided to pick a simple A-type of Dior dress from the SS 2019 Haute Couture collection, where the draped part of the décolletage in a shade of blue is the main ornament. Add a pair of bold earrings, complete the look with long gloves and you can head to the Vienna Opera Ball.
Dolce & Gabbana: Sequins will make you stand out
A sequined robe from the D&G Alta Moda SS18 collection, complete with fur hem sleeves. As they say, fortune favors the brave, and with this choice, there’s absolutely no reason to doubt that. Moreover, it feels good to be different from everyone else!

Lascivious types of necklines or slits are a definite taboo at a prestigious ball.
