He comes from the exotic Dominican Republic and there was no doubt that he will become a talented musician thanks to his family which has music in its blood. As a small boy he played an accordion, but his musical soul drew him to the piano which was played by his grandfather. At nine years of age, his parents bought him his first piano, thus starting his career of a great pianist. He studied the National Conservatoire for 13 years and since 1979 he performs in the USA.
Flamenco guitarist, Tomatito, by own name José Fernándéz Torres, was born in Spanish Almería also a family of musicians, too. He had two uncles, one of whom was a professional guitarist and the second a flamenco guitarist. Tomatio played in clubs in Andalucia where he was discovered by guitarist, Paco de Lucía. Together they then musically accompanied singer known under the name of Camarón de la Isla who is considered to be the best flamenco singer of all time.
