Michel Camilo was a musical talent from early childhood

He comes from the exotic Dominican Republic and there was no doubt that he will become a talented musician thanks to his family which has music in its blood. As a small boy he played an accordion, but his musical soul drew him to the piano which was played by his grandfather. At nine years of age, his parents bought him his first piano, thus starting his career of a great pianist. He studied the National Conservatoire for 13 years and since 1979 he performs in the USA.
