At a time of luxurious digital cameras and near-instant sharing of fresh photos, Korean-based company Skrew Bar introduced something truly unexpected. Gudak behaves just like an old camera using film roll. Unbelievable, isn’t it?

The Gudak app lets you take pictures as if on a film roll!

Gudak Application

We take pictures, record videos, edit and especially delete our pictures faster and faster. Normal users are actually fine with just using their phones to take pictures: luxurious pictures are small, can be easily edited and shared. The Korean startup Skrew Bar decided to swim against the recent current and to revisit our not-so-distant past. And the new incarnation of cameras with film rolls is a luxurious application. It allows you to take extraordinary retro pictures, but you’ll need to wait 3 days for them to become available.

How does the app work?

Gudak always offers only 24 photos at once, and these can only be taken using a small view-finder. Once they are all taken, they’ll be transferred to a virtual laboratory – there, the film will be processed in order to “create” your photos. The process takes 3 days, and that’s exactly how long you’ll have to wait for your luxurious creations.

Furthermore, it is necessary to wait 12 hours for a new film to become available. Perhaps the idea is to represent a long queue or short-term unavailability of the film in shops, as was sometimes the case decades ago? In any case, this application will entice your curiosity and desire to finally have your photos! Just like it was some years ago. And if you weren’t old enough back then, simply download the app to get a taste of what it was like back then!
