Gravelli: Even concrete can have a soul
Luxury design potential
Although Gravelli has only been operating on the market for 4 years, it has already managed to find a place on the winners’ podium of the Czech Grand Design competition. This has only added to its exclusivity and the company’s creations have become a matter of supreme luxury and prestige. The company’s philosophy is based on the basic properties of its specially modified concrete, these being weight, natural look, shade, structure and surface treatment. Concrete called FixCrete
These young innovators have come up with new technology for processing of concrete – FixCrete. Concrete processed in this manner offers a wealth of properties such as a supreme level of subtlety and enhanced surface rigidity at a thickness of 15 mm. The patented material LiCrete is also enhanced by transparent features.
Behind the scenes of the technology
The designers play around with a very thin layer of concrete which they shape according to requirement. But how do they do this? Their concrete is reinforced with special fibres which make it up to 7x more rigid. Another property worthy of praise is the smoothness and resistance to absorbing of liquids and other chemical substances thanks to multi-layer impregnation.
Products and projects
Since 2012, the company has implemented over 250 projects and is getting stuck into more with verve and energy. What sort of things can we expect from Gravelli? We can for example feast our eyes on beautiful luxury jewellery (earrings and rings), liven up our homes with their original home accessories or bring light to our lives with a concrete lamp. Their fantasy and unconventionality has also been brought to life in a luxury special limited edition of concrete clothing.
