The legendary 51-meter yacht of the designer duo Dolce and Gabbana was sold for EUR 13.5 million (339.6 million crowns). It's called Regina d'Italia II and shows how perfectly luxury and art can be combined.
The yacht is unique in that it combines beauty and luxury with minimalism. Its subtle metallic look gives the yacht a touch of coolness, but when on board you don't feel anything of that sort. On the contrary, everything is built to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible while tanning or reading a book. There are tree terraces on board to relax on, which can be accessed from the cabins by the means of a lift.
The interior of the yacht is absolutely fascinating. The doorknobs are shaped as outstretched hands and are made of gold. Leopard skins are stretched on the cabin floors and the faucets in the bathrooms are adorned with sapphires. Wherever you look, the interior is brimming with amazing color combinations and you find yourselves surrounded by design you won't be able to forger for hours - or days.
The yacht sleeps 12 people, providing them with maximum comfort. The VIP cabin features a huge dressing room as well as a private gym, but other bedrooms promise wonderful relaxation and a unique experience, too. Each of them bears a name of an exotic animal, such as a giraffe, a rhino or a crocodile.
The yacht is 51 meters long and was built in 2006. Moreover, it was completely renovated two years ago. It's equipped with a stabilization system that eliminates engine vibrations, resulting in even quieter and smoother sailing. There are also special anchor stabilizers, which prevent the boat from excessive swinging, even in wilder waters or when moored in a port.
