The luxury brand of Givenchy was recently heard and seen everywhere you looked. After creative director of Givenchy, Clare Waight Keller, designed the luxury wedding gown for Meghan Markle, the models of the prestigious brand have also appeared at other major events - the world tour of Beyoncé and Jay-Z or the FIFA opening ceremony where one of the extravagant models was sported by Robbie Williams. Everything suggests that the golden era of Givenchy is just approaching!
After Clare Waight Keller replaced Riccardo Tisci in May last year at the position of creative director, the brand goes strength to strength. The luxurious, feminine models regularly belong to the best we could see at world fashion weeks and it is no different in case of haute couture AW 2018. We would like to introduce to you a collection of ancient Greek goddesses and grand ladies.
The Paris fashion show presented sensual and ethereal goddesses and posh ladies dressed in their most elegant pieces. Whilst for the first category the creative director prepared luxury airy models full of metal embellishments and bold accessories, the second was in a simpler spirit, elegantly and with precision copying the silhouette.
We adore this luxury haute couture collection. Perfect work on the part of the designer, not only in terms of the materials and cuts, but also the sophisticated details and accessories chosen. Her bet placed on metal, crêpe Georgette, silk and chiffon, feathers, Swarovski crystals and feminine curves paid off and the entire show made a lush, sensuous and timeless impression - simply a luxury spectacle!
Givenchy fashion house once again showcased its leading position in the field of minimalist sophistication; this time in full force at the haute couture AW 2018 fashion show. This is all kind of pulled together, everything beautifully carried out in the same spirit. And that is exactly what I like about it. I do not like collections, where everything is mixed together, bringing a taste of everything at once.
Among my greatest champions is certainly the great evening gown, at first glance completely different from any other. It is the shimmering ultramarine-blue skirt with a velvet top with a cloak to the ground. Goodness, I have seen nothing like this anywhere else. An absolutely original idea and as regards its use... To me it seems perfect for the "Moët & ELLE Iceland Party", which took place within the framework of the KV IFF 2018. The wearer of such as dress would be the queen of the night!
Another of my favourites include a snow-white gown across one shoulder, delicately adorned by ostrich feathers and a hood. And the metallic headband completely covering the hair - absolutely top stuff! This seems to me to be haute couture, which really is wearable as designed and presented. I would wear this model to some little more luxurious garden party ... It is certainly is not just some extravagance fit only for a visit of Fashion Weeks.
