Edoardo Tresoldi creates transparent art. Specific luxurious installations made from wire mesh are frequently part of audio-visual performances. They depict the dialogue between art and the world perfectly. They give modern spaces a historic subtext, breathe a contemporary spirit into the past and are capable of boldly emphasising the genius loci of unique places.
The Archetype in Abu Dhabi is a major work by Tresoldi, which was created on the occasion of an important royal event. A luxurious garden, which dances in an unending fusion and contrast with the architecture, was created in collaboration with the Designlab Experience studio.
The work titled Aura was installed in the Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche shopping centre in Paris and gave the modern shopping centre a historic touch.
Edoardo Tresoldi was born in 1987. His youth is linked to Milan, where he experiment with various styles of art under the guidance of artist Maria Straforini from the time he was 9 years old. In 2009 he moved to Rome. Cinema, music, scenography and sculpture became platforms for his further artistic experiments.
The public became aware of this artist in 2013, when he began presenting his work in public areas. In 2016 he performed a deluxe wire restoration of the Italian Basilica of Siponto together with the Italian Minister of Culture. This work is a unique combination of contemporary art and architecture. In 2017 he was listed among the 30 most influential artists under 30.
