President Miloš Zeman is in hospital
Miloš Zeman is in postoperative care at the Central Military Hospital in Prague. After breaking his humerus last night, he underwent surgery under general anesthesia. According to spokesman Jiří Ovčáček, it is not clear how long the Czech president will be in hospital.
The number of first-graders and university students in the Czech Republic is declining
The Czech Statistical Office released alarming numbers! In 2019, 289,000 students were attending 26 public and 32 private universities in the Czech Republic, which means a significant decrease.
"In the last ten years, the number of students at universities dropped down by 100,000. However, this decline does not apply to foreigners; there are more of them studying at universities in the Czech Republic from year to year. As for Czech university students, their number has dropped by almost a third in the last ten years,"
says Vendula Kašparová from the Department of Education, Health, Culture and Social Security of the CZSO.
For the third year in a row, the number of first-graders is also falling slightly. According to data from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, 107,000 of them were newly admitted to the first classes of primary schools last year. In total, however, the number of primary school pupils has been growing since the school year 2010/11. Last year, a total of 953 thousand pupils were attending primary schools, which is 99 thousand more than five years ago.
US First Lady Melania Trump wants another 4 years for Donald
Although certain media make it seem that every now and then, her marriage requires no small amount of self-denial for Melania Trump, she officially fully supports her husband. During a speech at yesterday's congress of the Republican Party, she asked for the re-election of Donald Trump for the next four years. In her 26-minute speech, she also opened the topic of racism or coronavirus.
"Donald will not rest until he has done everything in his power to take care of everyone impacted by this terrible pandemic," Melania said.
People are calling for Meghan Markle's royal title to be removed

The Duchess of Sussex got hersef involved in politics, which was a huge mistake… After inviting the American public to vote in the upcoming presidential election, a wave of criticism swept over her. DPRK leader Kim Jong Un's sister continues to strengthen her position
The sister of the leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is increasingly consolidating her position. In his speech to lawmakers in the National Assembly on Tuesday, Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo stated tha Kim Yo Jong was now probably responsible for the organizational and advisory department (OGD) of the ruling North Korean Workers' Party (WPK), a party body that deals with ideological indoctrination, the organisation of the party and political appointments. According to experts, the OGD monitors up to 3 million WPK members to make sure they are loyal enough to Kim Jong-un.

Lionel Messi wants to leave Barcelona
One of the biggest sports sensations of the year is here! Argentine Lionel Messi is about to take off his FC Barcelona jersey and run for the hills. He faxed his request to the club, stating that he would like to use a clause in his contract that allows him to leave the club at the end of each season. According to Barcelona, however, the deadline has already passed, which means that clubs would probably need to pay the football legend's 700-million Euro release clause in order for a switch to occur. Nothing has been decided yet, though, and Messi's departure is under negotiation.
