British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton has spoken out against human rights abuses. This question is very topical - in Hong Kong, for example, a protester has been imprisoned for almost two years for throwing eggs. And did you know that Czechs will have to wait longer than Slovaks for a new blockbuster?

Incumbent US President Donald Trump has agreed that he will hand over power to Joe Biden once the electors have voted. The 78-year-old top politician answered the journalists' questions for the first time since the election. One of them was aimed at the voting of electors and subsequent acceptance of the result.

"Certainly I will, I will accept it, and you know that. It's going to be a very hard thing to concede because we know there was massive fraud. But time isn't on our side, everything else is on our side, facts are on our side, this was a massive fraud,"

said the 45th US president. He added that if voters actually choose Joe Biden, it will be a huge mistake on their part.

The capital city of Prague presented a budget for 2021 in the amount of almost 88 billion crowns. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the city has to cut back on current expenses. However, it plans to maintain investments of almost 15 billion. It considers them to be a key thing in times of economic crisis that can help support the Prague economy. The Capital City Council will discuss the budget next week and its approval will subsequently be discussed by the General Assembly of Prague.

"I am aware that investments are key to maintaining the Prague economy in times of crisis. My main priority was to secure funding for ongoing and planned projects. For this reason, we decided to borrow about five billion crowns for strategic projects,"

said Pavel Vyhnánek, Deputy Mayor of Prague for finance and budget. At the same time, he added that next year, part of the expiring loans for which financial reserves have already been created will be repaid. The debt ratio of the capital should thus remain comparable.

A protester from Hong Kong will spend 21 months in prison for throwing eggs. The news provoked further outrage from the public. The courts are under severe pressure from the regime and their independence is being doubted. The eggs landed on a police station. A 31-year-old man earned the exemplary punishment. The court acknowledged that "an egg is not a weapon of mass destruction," but ruled that the act undermined police authority and provoked further unrest. In July this year, the Chinese authorities introduced a national security law for Hong Kong. The pressure of the authorities on harsh punishments is enormous here. In addition, hundreds more anti-government protesters are waiting to be arrested and should hear the judges' verdict in the near future. The court is thus also under time pressure.

The most successful Formula 1 driver in history let himself be heard that the management of the championate needs to be more active in the field of human rights in some host countries. The seven-time world champion, who broke several of Michael Schumacher's records this season, has allegedly received letters from law groups after arriving in Bahrain, where another Formula 1 Grand Prix is to take place on Friday. But this country is by far not the only one on the list of Formula 1 host countries where the issue of human rights is very topical. There are countries such as Russia, China, Turkey and Azerbaijan, with Saudi Arabia joining next year.

"It is very important for all sports to use the platform they have to push for change. The human rights issue in so many of the places we go to is a massive problem. We are one of the few sports that go to so many different countries and I do believe as a sport we need to do more. They have put some steps in place for the places we go to but it is important to make sure they are implemented in the right way and that we see some action taken,"

said the 35-year-old British record holder.
