James Dyson is an industrial designer who already shot to fame in the past with his discoveries and inventions, also in the field of vacuum cleaners. We however will be focusing on his latest achievement, the 360 Eye which will not miss a single speck in your luxury interior.
During the first phase of their introduction on the market, robot vacuum cleaners evoked a huge wave of enthusiasm. This was however later replaced by scepticism. The greatest failing of these smart luxury vacuum cleaners was their limited ability to recognise objects in the room, which resulted in them simply not vacuuming certain areas.
The luxury Dyson 360 Eye robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with a panoramic camera with a 360° field of vision. It is thus no problem for it to survey the whole room and to recognise individual objects. The camera uses 30 shots per second, allowing the vacuum cleaner to operate precisely to the millimetre.
The Dyson 360 Eye is able to clean for up to 30 minutes on one charge and is so intelligent that it returns to its charging dock - a luxury glass panel - on its own once it has run out of power.
James Dyson is an industrial designer, inventor and founder of the Dyson company. He is one of the richest people on the planet. He already invented a special landing craft (the Sea Truck) while still at school. This was followed by the Trolleyball, a trolley which launches boats into the water. Dyson ventured into the field of vacuum cleaner improvisation in the 70s.
James Dyson established a foundation in 2002 which supports fields of education relating to design and engineering. It also supports new designers by awarding the James Dyson Prize, an international award for design, engineering and industrial design graduates.
