Luxurious pictures of live nature

You can now see unique photographs capturing live nature in the Czech Photo Center near the Nové Butovice subway station. 50 nominated pictures are displayed within the first year of the Czech Nature Photo competition and you can look forward to truly luxurious photographs in 7 categories.

The competition results will be announced on 21 September. Even you can be the judge and decide who will win the Audience Award. Visit this unique multi-genre center and enjoy a lovely afternoon with pictures. The beauty and diversity of nature captured in every detail will take your breath away.

How it all began

The initial investment of CZK 800 million was put up by Properity, which assigned the task to the Burian – Křivinka Architecture Studio and the contractor PSJ. It created a project for a three-storey multipurpose base with a two-storey underground parking lot and a skyscraper (only above a part of the building’s footprint).

Technological gadgets

The charm lies not only in the unique design of the façade, which is characteristically bent, but also in the resolving of ecological issues, because the building is environmentally friendly. The modern tower rests on thirty-metre deep energy pilots, which are capable of absorbing heat in the winter thanks to heat pumps, and have a cooling function in summer.

Luxury and extravagance in Brno

The building has 30 floors and offers a wide range of uses. The base includes a fitness centre, shopping mall and car repair shop. Beneath the surface, there is an extensive parking lot, while the floors reaching towards the clouds have various uses, such as offices, company headquarters and luxury apartments.

The building, with seven hundred steps that required 2,000 tonnes of iron for their construction, deserves attention. It is a unique technological feat in the Czech Republic, which proudly dominates Brno. Despite standing in a commercial area on the outskirts of the city, it is the luxurious pearl of South Moravia.
