Cinta Vidal Agulló was already painting as a child and began her studies at Escola Massana in Barcelona at the age of 16. She began work in Taller de Escenografia Castells Planas in St. Agnès de Malanyanes, where she learned from Joseph and Jordi Castells to love scenography, something which has influenced her work greatly.
Scenography focuses more on space than people themselves. It is capable of luxuriously playing with light and perspective in order to create a habitable environment. The starring role in her pictures is thus also played by space, not people.
Cinta Vidal Agulló defies gravity in her work and departs from architectural convention. Various perspectives intersect in her pictures and the artist herself claims that each work points to the fact that one’s internal personal perspective of life need not necessarily conform to the reality around us. Her pictures are full of colours and various characters regularly seen in everyday life. In the regular world and the world of luxury.
Her pictures say: we all live on one planet, but in different ways. The artist plays around with everyday things and uses places we all know, although her pictures illustrate how difficult it is to connect everything that fills our everyday space: work, ambitions and dreams.
She never stops experimenting in her work. She worked as a volunteer for various clients and in the end entered the world of art with her own work, the originality and unique nature of which arouses emotions in everyone. She works with acrylic paints which she uses to paint on wooden boards.
Cinta Vidal has in particular displayed her latest works in the Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles. Apart from paintings, the artist also engages in illustration and you can come across her work on the labels of special bottles of wine and beer.
