Christian Dior broke the standards right at the start, having chosen atypical and fun décor for his show. The walls as well as the floors were completely cover by colourful passages from newspapers and magazines. The moment the first beauties appeared on the catwalk in vibrant pieces by Dior, accessorised by sun glasses, a question came to mind whether the viewers did not by chance arrive to see a luxurious spring/summer collection.
No grim or dark tones, Christian Dior sees the coming season FW 2018/2019 FW in bright, vibrant colours. And if you do not want to feel blue this autumn either, reach for one of the colourful pieces, of which the creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri prepared more than enough.
You can choose from extravagant dresses, skirts, jackets, coats, shoes as well as handbags, which truly display a variety of colours! A little more subtle are stylish suits of checked pattern, which evoke the impression of a luxurious school uniform. Dior offers them both in combination with pants as well as a skirt. How do you like the idea of returning to the school years?
In addition to the luxury models which by their materials, colours as well as cuts are rather reminiscent of spring, Christian Dior also created several pieces that you would certainly not like to put on at other times than in the autumn. The warm woollen sweaters and coats or stylish black caps clearly say what kind of collection we are looking at.
How would you like a breath of fresh spring among the ever so often bleak autumn collections? We are thrilled!
The latest collection of Christian Dior filled me with delight. Brightly coloured bits stitched together with a tonne of transparent fabrics is quite useless in the autumn and winter weather but as soon as you would ditch that giant sheepskin coat, you would be immediately radiant in the warmth of Prague bars and restaurants.
Personally I most in love with those transparent blouses with patterned yellow shoulders (a bra), black skirt with a chic cut, a hat and superb high boots. It rather reminds me of hippies laxity which is once again returning to the scene a little. And I certainly do not have the slightest problem with that! With considerable dose of courage I´d wear that to have an espresso somewhere in the Kampa Park - easy relaxation!
From the rest it clearly follows that with clear conscience you can reach for an old dress of your Mum´s or indeed one of your grandmother´s, because Dior really did draw inspiration from the past. And I think it a little unnecessary to have to pay such vast sums of money for this copied idea.
