Saliris: A spa paradise near a unique European salt mountain
Saliris is a luxury hotel located in a large park about 6 km away from the spa town of Egerszalók in the north-west of Hungary in a stunning environment that's unique in Europe.
The 1900 m² water surface features 17 swimming pools, a sauna world and a fitness center. But even more interesting than what is hidden inside the hotel is what it is surrounded by!
The thermal spring rises on the southern side of the town and the limestone hill is formed by water runoff. Over the years, it has become a symbol of this area and is known as the "salt mountain". The thermal waters have been identified as medicinal in 1992. The water has a temperature of 65 - 68 °C and has been ranked among the best in the category of sulfur medicinal waters. The water has a beneficial effect on eczema, helps with skin problems, musculoskeletal disorders, gynecological problems and cardiovascular diseases.
