Art Basel Miami 2018: Wild Art and Paris Hilton behind the DJ Mix Panel!
This year, Art Basel in Miami again proved to be on top of its majestic form and presented a myriad of luxury opportunities to enjoy art. The estimate is that it was participated upon by 268 of the most notable American galleries and art museums. This exciting week devoted to artists, curators, collectors, critics, art enthusiasts, but also fun accompanied by celebrities is all over now. Come and have a closer look at it with us!

It is little wonder that year on year this art fair also attracts great attention of the general public. The venue is quite exclusive, after all it is Miami, the centre of cultural life! Art Basel Miami Beach 2018 is held at the Miami Beach Convention Centre and also in the vicinity of the Collins Park and SoundScape Park.
The luxurious main attraction of the evening, Paris Hilton
At the fair, one could have seen not only artists, but the luxury works of art also attracted members of the British royal family, Princess Eugenie with her husband Jack Brooksbank. There were also plenty of well-known celebrities, who are able in the right way to spice up the atmosphere of any event. Paris Hilton took care of a really awesome spectacle when she appeared as a DJ behind luxurious mixing panels.
In the context of Art Basel a luxurious party was held at Casa Tua, to which later on arrived Leonardo DiCaprio, Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, Rande Gerber, Caroline Vreeland and Cardi B., who contributed with a rap performance.
What was the 17th year like? Luxurious! It was brimming with distinctive artists.
However, Art Basel is above all about art. We can mention here just a fragment of what was there to be seen: progressive works of art by Abraham Cruzvillegas, incredible performance installation by Bárbar Foulkes. Larry Bell was also one of the very sought-after stars of the event.
On the very first day of the fair the Hauser & Wirth gallery sold four works of art at prices ranging from 100,000 to 2 million dollars. Also, we were awed by the inspired, youthfully refreshing, creative thinking in the form of large pictures of car interiors by Marguerite Humeau, Eric N. Mack, or Issy Wood.
Art Basel in a nutshell
Since its foundation in 2002, Art Basel became the most important art fair in North America. You may expect amazing contemporary paintings, movies and videos, sculptures, drawings, photographs, digital art and installations by more than 4,000 artists. Many of them you can even see in person, nor is it an exception that a part of the programme is held on the roof of the bar area.
