Same as once ready-made, Wabi Sabi elevates long-forgotten objects. It goes against mass production, and all things artificial. Luxury and design of this style, and indeed life philosophy lies in authenticity, beauty of the thing itself. There is no necessity to artificially add anything.
Wabi Sabi indulges in natural materials such as wood, stone and ceramics. Everything in natural hues of brown, grey and beige. The surfaces are often unfinished, telling their own story. Every structure, crack, unevenness, creates the right patina. The material is tested by time. This style has found its roots in the ancient past, Buddhist monks and tea masters.
The Wabi Sabi style often combines the incompatible, offering nouveau combinations, toying with asymmetries. All of this is in stark contrast to the Western-style post-modernist, exactly structured arts. Space is left luxuriously clean and airy, without stuffing it unnecessarily. The life philosophy carries the main idea that it is unnecessary to accumulate things. It suffices to have to hand everything we need and what we like. In this way we will achieve a positive atmosphere for life.
The motto of this style speaks for everything. In house design prevails open, undivided space made more interesting by sliding paper walls - šódži. Same as the nature, which transcends into the inhabited parts, or only surrounds them, light plays an important role. It has a therapeutic effect, and must come in to the maximum possible degree.
Give a chance to things that no one needs any longer, save them, recycle them in artistic manner. Also, remove noise from your life, create a space to calm down your soul, meditate and remember to smile.
