Jack Daniel's disappears from Canada due to American tariffs

Canadian provinces are pulling American alcohol from store shelves in response to Trump's trade policy, which is "worse than tariffs," declared the CEO of Jack Daniel's manufacturer Brown-Forman. Several Canadian provinces, including the most populous Ontario, have taken countermeasures this week in response to American tariffs on Canadian goods.

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO), one of the largest alcohol buyers in the world, on Tuesday pulled alcoholic beverages made in the USA from its shelves. Brown-Forman CEO Lawson Whiting according to the BBC stated that Canada's response was "disproportionate" to the 25% levies on Canadian goods imposed by the Trump administration, according to the latest information, Trump's administration has once again postponed tariffs on Canada by one month.

Czech Republic recorded temperature records at the vast majority of stations

Only one-tenth of a degree was missing from the 22 degrees Celsius measured at the weather station in Karvina. Considering the day of the year, records were broken at 89% of all places where temperature has been measured for at least 30 years. Morning temperatures are often below freezing.

"At the station in Dyjakovice in South Moravia, it was minus 5.1 degrees Celsius in the morning, 21 degrees in the afternoon, a difference of over 26 degrees Celsius,"

stated the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute according to ČTK.

France's nuclear umbrella is particularly eyed by Poland and the Baltic states

Poland and the Baltic countries on Thursday welcomed a proposal by French President Emmanuel Macron to initiate talks on the use of French nuclear deterrence weapons to protect the continent from Russian threats, which Moscow quickly rejected as "extremely confrontational," at least according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The comments came at a time when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky joined top EU leaders in Brussels at an extraordinary summit on defense and security.

On Wednesday, Macron stated that he had decided to initiate a "strategic debate" on the use of French nuclear deterrence to protect European allies in connection with concerns about a possible departure of the USA. The French president, in his televised speech to the nation, identified Moscow as a "threat to France and Europe". France is the only nuclear power in the European Union, the AP agency reported.

USA is destroying the world order, stated Ukrainian diplomat

"We see that not only Russia and the axis of evil are trying to destroy the world order, but the USA is actually destroying it completely,"

said Valeriy Zaluzhny according to BBC. Further from the Ukrainian diplomat, it was heard that the White House "doubted the unity of the western world" and "is taking more and more steps towards" Russia, which in 2022 launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The comments come at a time when the USA is putting pressure on Ukraine to make concessions ahead of potential peace talks, and after a public clash between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his American counterpart Donald Trump.

Zelenskyj in the meantime has stated that he is ready to work under Trump's "strong leadership", which is an apparent easing of tensions, welcomed by Trump, that comes after the U.S. suspended military aid to Kyiv.
