Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2017: The Sexy Angels Lit Up the Stage Again!
A luxurious show full of surprises!
This year’s show of one of the most watched fashion events of the year took place in Shanghai, China and offered not only a spectacular show but also a whole range of surprises. Some of these were the cooperation with the Balmain brand, one of the Angels’ last performance and some of the Angels decided not to show up at all!

Alessandra Ambrosio retires, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were a no-show!
Experienced stars such as Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Taylor Hill, Elsa Hosk, Candice Sweanepoel, and Alessandra Ambrosio could not miss this show. The last one on the list announced that this year is her last and that she is going to retire after 17 years of being a Victoria’s Secret Angel. There were also quite a lot of new appearances – Estelle Chen, Alexina Graham and Gizele Oliveira. On the other hand, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hagid were missing. Kendall concluded a contract with the competitor La Perla and Gigi has not stated an official reason for missing the show.
Fantasy Bra worth 2 million dollars worn by Brazilian beauty Lais Ribeiro
The iconic Fantasy Bra is a prestigious award among the Angels. This year it was worn by exotic beauty Lais Ribeiro. It took almost 350 hours to create this bra! It contains 6000 precious stones, including diamonds, yellow sapphires and blue topaz. In the past this beautiful piece was presented by beautiful models such as Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Gisele Bündchen, Tyra Banks and Candice Swanepoel.
Cooperation with the Balmain brand
The show brought the long-awaited cooperation with French Balmain. This is the first time in history that Victoria’s Secret decided to cooperate with another fashion brand on the creation of its models. As a result, you could enjoy punk features, luxurious leather, golden and silver highlights, glamour, glance and netting.
Provocative pieces for everyday wear!
In the backstage, Angels wore luxurious pink satin robes sold for approximately 45 GPD. As far as the models presented on the catwalk are concerned, the luxurious underwear is intended for catwalks as well as for casual wear. And as is typical of Victoria’s Secret, even these models were playful and provocative!
The luxurious show was accompanied by musical performances by Harry Styles, Miguel and Chinese singer Jane Zhang.

The Victoria’s Secret show in Shanghai started as a rock show full of sexual tension. If I were a rock legend, Ozzy Osborne for example, and were performing there, I would grab one of the blonds at the beginning and lick her leg in the heat of the music! Unfortunately, young and clearly inexperienced Harry Styles didn’t dare to do more than an innocent wink.
I really like that the organizers tried to combine underwear, femininity and local folklore (nomad lifestyle). It was definitely a refreshing change!
My favorite model is in the “Divine” section and was worn by Bella Hadid in an azure blue “pseudo-dress”. She looked like a Greek goddess clothed in gold. You can buy the golden Chantilly Lace Mini Bustier with panties for 2,072 CZK! And that’s quite a deal!
Adriana Lima: In my opinion the ultimate alpha female of the entire VS model crew! The black mid-thigh lace-up boots are the absolute top! Although the semi-sheer body is fine, it is not so astonishing; what it is really about is Adriana´s rapacious expression: and that was definitely captivating!
Alessandra Ambrosio: Here, Alessandra looks like a newly crowned queen of the Amazonians. I love the varied colours of the beads which kept jingling against her sexy rock-hard body. My view is that it is okay for a show but I would not go to bed like that.
Bella Hadid: One of my favourites, Bella Hadid, entered the catwalk like a true Greek goddess! So much tenderness and sex appeal is rarely seen at once. And the fact that this set of underwear costs a little over two thousand crowns is another great plus!
Dewon Windsor: This blond beauty perfected the rock spirit. I think her cool expression served to draw attention to the faultlessly fitting bra which I must immediately have at home! The quilted leather skirt seems to me to be the cherry on the cake. A simple YES!
Elsa Hosk: In my opinion, this model is - how shall I put it – too African. Although the red lace underwear is perfect, those bracelets and shoes are a bit over my head. In short, in the plethora of perfection, this is a little bump in the road.
Jasmine Tookes: The sexy chocolate beauty Jasmine looked as if she was not even modelling underwear. This is simply a model which could be worn for a girls´ night out. There is just one problem; unfortunately your other half perhaps wouldn´t let you go. But that corset...I will dream about it!
Josephine Skriver: This is one of the most beautiful models here. This elegant black body could be worn for a dinner date, underneath a simple black jacket. The blue-white boots in combination with classic black seem like a breath of fresh air. Yes, this is how perhaps everyone imagines a billionaire girlfriend (that necklace is from him, of course).
Lais Ribeiro: Despite the fact that Lais modelled a gold bra covered by $2 million worth of precious stones, it is not my most favourite model. The impression is too ´glitzy´. But I admire this woman very much! There is no better motivation than to see the main star of the show of whom we know that she has a ten-year old son. Simply a clear motivation to FINALLY start to train and get fit, even after children.
