Getting an invitation to the prestigious Czech-Slovak Ball isn't easy. Among other things, it also carries a certain level of responsibility, such as choosing the perfect dress, accessories and professional make-up and hair. And if you underestimate the prep? Ehm, then you can easily end up like some of the Czech and Slovak celebrities this year - that is, looking like a carnival worker or somebody who pulled their dress out of a horny animal's mouth right before the event... On the other hand, the ball was not lacking in a lineup of famous beauties without a single flaw, because that's just how perfect they were!

Andrea Verešová: Star of the night

Model Andrea Verešová was simply stunning in the fairytale-like dress by designer Jana Pištějová! She looked like she'd jumped out of Frozen and she complemented the already artsy dress with decent yet luxurious accessories by Gismondi - beautiful!

Radka Rosická: Antique beauty

How does Radka do it? The former model's face still looks girly and it's hard to believe that this beautiful brunette is pushing forty! She arrived at the ball accompanied by her husband Tomáš and she looked stunning in her antique nude dress. Together with Andrea Verešová, she definitely belonged to the best dressed stars that night. We must praise the beautiful hairdo and subtle make-up that fits the model perfectly.

Eva Perkausová: Dazzling Poner

The TV presenter Eva Perkausová looked really beautiful in a luxurious corset dress by the Poner siblings. It's just a pity that the cut of the dress is making her look shorter, otherwise we have nothing to point out. The shade of her lipstick is great just as the Yves Saint Laurent clutch purse. Pure skill is pure skill!

Karolína Kokešová: The satin-clad Miss

We're into the satin dress by Sandy Mark that the Czech winner of the Miss Global title wore to the Czech-Slovak Ball. Karolína looks great in the cool shade and it's married nicely with the gold, which in her case plays first fiddle when it comes to accessories.

Gabriela Lašková: A dress ironed is a penny saved - or top marks earned, rather

The TV presenter and former Czech Miss Gabriela Lašková would have no flaws to point out, if only her robe had seen an iron or a garment steamer before the ball. This is a faux pas that not even a flawless face of make-p and hairdo will save!

Tereza Mašková: Less is more

The singer Tereza Mašková's outfit looked too busy for us with the dress by Dominik Navrátil. The sheer amount of tulle and sparkles caused us mild hallucinations and we've almost forgotten what we wanted to say, oh, right: Less is more!

Celeste Buckingham: Statue of Liberty in a bad dress

This didn't work out. The singer Celeste Buckingham looked like a granny in the metallic Ema Klein dress and on top of that, the model deformed her cleavage in an unsightly way. And the headband in the style of the Statue of Liberty? Ehm, lucky there wasn't a storm on the way to the ball!

Leona Machálková: Regards from a shooting range booth

Leona will forgive us for sure, but in this outfit she simply looks like a worker at a traveling carnival. Who knows whether it's the garish color, the blue eyeshadow that NO ONE in the world would look good in, or the rhinestone belt, but this didn't really work out for Leona.

Marika Šoposká: Bathrobe party

We didn't really get the outfit in which the actress Marika Šoposká turned up at the Czech-Slovak Ball. It looked rather awkward among the pompous gowns and we can't shake the feeling that Marika quickly threw on a bathrobe and set out to the ball at the Municipal House. The overall impression wasn't salvaged even by the beautiful ANTIPEARLE pieces of jewelry that are, actually, a feast for the eyes.

The ball season has begun and the Municipal House once again hosted a gathering of elites from both Prague and Bratislava - from singers, models and businessmen to "regular" mortals that simply wanted to have fun at the seventh annual Czech-Slovak Ball. And naturally, it wouldn't be a ball without people unafraid to show off not only their best looks, but also their best dresses. Who nailed it and who bombed?

Tereza Mašková

The golden-voiced singer could literally not be overlooked at the ball, not only because of her white gown, but also because of the bright pink hair. The dress by Dominik Navrátil was probably supposed to be reminiscent of light swan feathers, but they were making Terka look a little too chubby and only accentuated her short stature, which was a pity. Not even the silver belt or a small clutch purse that were supposed to complement the outfit could help it stand out more. Thanks to her golden voice though, even if the singer wore a bag on stage, she'd be forgiven.

Celeste Buckingham

The singer that had garnered success even abroad made a bit of a misstep with her dress by Ema Klein. At first glance it wasn't sure whether Celeste really came to the Czech-Slovak Ball, or whether she mistook the Municipal House for the O2 arena that was hosting the biggest comic convention Comic-Con at the time. Even though the dress nicely brought out Celeste's height and could hide even the smallest imperfection really well, I'd prefer to see the singer in something more subtle next time, maybe even without the crown that invoked looking at the Statue of Liberty.

Leona Machálková

Blue's good. That was the motto of Leona Machálková that went for a safe bet. Less is more sometimes, and so even a simple dress without needless extravagant details captured attention and made Leona look good. As I found out, the singer really likes this color and if she has the option, she always goes for it. She wore delicate jewelry with the outfit, and chose a soft pink lipstick and nail polish.

Andrea Verešová

Even though the Slovak beauty arrived at the ball with a small delay, she was forgiven the moment she entered the crowded hall of the Municipal House. Andrea once again carefully considered her choice and it wasn't a misstep this time either. She boasted a dress that Disney Princesses could be jealous of. Married with a simple casual hairstyle, make-up and a smile, she was the queen of the night as always, and the aforementioned Disney Princesses wouldn't stand a chance. The dress by Jana Pištějová shone through the historical Municipal House and it was a joy to look at.
