The Valentino Resort 2019 collection is inspired by the street again
Last year, a street-inspired collection by the Valentino fashion was presented in the streets of the lively and unstoppable New York. The Eighties and hip-hop elements in the collection could not be overlooked, and the same goes for this year’s Resort 2019 collection, which is likewise inspired by the street. This time, however, it was irresistible and romantic Rome which served as the inspiration to create this luxury collection.

You will fall in love at first sight with the elements of the new Valentino Resort 2019 luxury collection, which feature Roman charm. The elegance exuded by every outfit is so enchanting you will find it hard to resist, and will simply say: “I must have it.” Do you know why? It’s simple. Italian fashion holds so much wonder and beauty, which women adore.
Headscarves, giant sunglasses and countless striking patterns
The Resort 2019 collection is dominated by various types of delicate silk scarves which you can wear on your neck, head or simply as an embellishment or accessory on your luxury handbag. You can’t miss the giant sunglasses on every model, which are massively on trend. The varied shapes, colours and sizes make it clear that this is a key accessory. The items in the collection give way to our fantasy with many abstract motifs, allowing everybody to pursue different characteristics in the clothing. My favourites are the garments with the Valentino logo. Like many other fashion and trend lovers, I have fallen for brands and this collection fits in perfectly. Although the clothing has writing all over it, it still maintains an elegant style.
Valentino also takes a humanitarian approach
Recently, fashion houses have offered us a somewhat different aspect of their work. They no longer present themselves only with perfectly styled photographs, but they try to involve the garments into normal life. Valentino and his fashion campaign shot in the street have a particular charm, because they show the clothing in the way we normally see it every day.

Valentino Resort 2019 was like a show from the golden Sixties. It’s true. Just look at the touch of Federico Fellini films, which starred Sophia Loren and many other beauties. A lot of the garments remind me of the legendary film “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” (1963), which also deals with a female millionaire from Milan who doesn’t know what to do with her money and life as such. And the fashion!!! Valentino has successfully returned to the old Italian tracks… and I am definitely in favour!
I have to say from the outset that it was exceedingly difficult to choose three top models, because the collection is gorgeous from the start to the finish. In top place is the cream mini dress which is tailored like a trench coat. A scarf on the head and giant sunglasses… absolutely timeless perfection. In short, a model you can travel in time with and always be IN. My second choice is the striped dress, denim bellbottoms and the blue poncho with the Valentino logo. Ponchos are finally making a comeback and their wearability knows no bounds. Surprised by a cold wind or light rain while strolling around town? Sure… that’s what a poncho is for! And finally, I can’t omit the adorable light blue lace maxi dress. It’s made for a princess yet is wearable in the daytime. Wandering through the city with a refreshing ice cream in hand, then a glass of champagne on the street… hmmm…
In short, if you want to invest into immortality… then definitely Valentino Resort 2019. In my view, it is the best resort of all! Bravo!
