The artist Katta will make the organ chime

Katta composes her own songs, in which she often uses her own voice as well. As an organist and cymbalist, she has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Capital City of Prague and other formations. Her undoubted talent also amazed visitors to the London or Pasov cathedrals.

BLOK_4 will demonstrate luxurious visual art

BLOK_4 is a group of 4 artists who try to connect light, space and time in their audiovisual realizations. They are not participating in the Signal festival for the first time. Last year, for example, they captivated with an installation called Surface. As part of the Organik installation at the Church U Salvátora, the altar and organ will be connected through a mirror wall and a light pendulum to complement the luxurious sounds of the organ that Katta will provide.

You can look forward to a unique half-hour experience. Every festival evening the project is played four times, with the beginning at 7pm.

Begbie je zpět!

Does the name not ring a bell? And what about Trainspotting, do you know who I'm talking about now? The author of the unique book based on which the legendary film Trainspotting (and its sequel) was created autographed he signed his new book The Blade Artist on October 3rd in Prague. Will it be as successful as Trainspotting?

The one who wrote Trainspotting

If an artist does something genius, he basically creates problems for him or herself. Since that moment, everyone has high expectations, and they are always connected with this success, even if it was a hundred years ago and by accident. If Irvin Welsh was an Indian, despite writing 9 books, several theater plays, and even directing a few movies, he would forever be called "The One Who Wrote Trainspotting".

After two successful films, it is not surprising that a new book has surfaced into which he placed one of the main characters of Trainspotting – Francis Begbie! And just to be sure you can also find him on the cover of the book subtitled Begbie's Back!

The Edinburgh bunch wants a bloody revenge

The book will certainly attract readers. It talks about an artist named Jim Francis, who lives with his family in luxury on the Californian coast. For some a visionary, for others a liar and a cheater. And it looks like the latter are closer to the truth. Jim visits his native Edinburgh for the funeral of his dead, almost unknown son. However, his old acquaintances are impatiently waiting for him here and want to settle the score. The mysterious past of Jim Francis begins to surface...

This is his 5th book in this series: Skagboys, Trainspotting, Porno, The Blade Artist and Dead Men's Trousers (will be published in the Czech Republic at the end of September next year).
