Whenever the world of fashion combines with the desire to help, it is a welcome step. And just one such took place on Saturday 17. 3. 2018 in the baroque Clam-Gallas Palace in the heart of old Prague.
The CHATTY brand presented its autumn collection for 2018, associated with a charity evening to support Children´s Foundation of Tereza Maxová, organised by MBPFW and the Why Not?! magazine. Before the beginning of the fashion show a charity auction was held with an auction of objects. Fashion demonstrated that it can help and during the luxury show a cheque was presented in the impressive amount of CZK 650,000.
The CHATTY brand behind which is the duo of Radka Sirková and Anna Tušková, has already been in the market for 13 years and belongs to fixed stars of Prague Fashion Week. Their collections usually represent modern interpretation of masculinity and femininity, achieved by mixing the two elements with provocative silhouettes. The design duo focuses on details bringing distinction into the collections.
CHATTY collections tend to be playful, teamed up with maxi-volume. This has been this time round set aside and what remained in particular is playfulness and accent on the cut. The luxury FW 18 collection is formed by pieces in the form of denim overall, leather trousers and skirts, stylish blazers and pullovers, trouser suits, coats with some fur or luxury fanny pockets. In the eyes of CHATTY the autumn will belong to striking patterns and therefore your best bet are stripes, animal prints or check.
Preparations for a fashion show are generally great, take a long time and are often also fun. This time the CHATTY duo helped the models to achieve the perfect look a little unusually - by playing cards. The models wore striking make-up, in the form of eye lines or the timeless smokey eyeshadows. You can view fragments from the playful backstage in our photo gallery.
While some of them missed the afternoon shows, they could not miss the evening one at any cost. Whom are we taking about? The stars that attended the charity evening formed quite a crowd! Of course, the beautiful promoter, Tereza Maxová, could not miss out, but there also appeared actress, Jitka Schneiderová, models Renata Langmannová and Jitka Nováčková or the Man of the year 2017 Matyáš Hložek.
Chatty designed dresses, CZK 650 thousand was collected for children and everyone went home. To be honest, I don´t very much identify with the idea of (again) teaming up a dress with pants. It is still fresh in my memory: the year was 2003 and all girls wore jeans under a skirt or longer dresses. Well, I do get the point that it doesn´t look too bad on fashion models. But the moment when this trend gets among girls especially those with a "fuller figure", it is not so easy on the eye - simply walking tents. That is why I say NO to this combination!
But what I did like was the as-if-by-chance copied jacket with patchwork fur lining which (completely by "mistake") looked like the one by the fashionable Fendi house (just slightly so..). I enjoyed the combination of his coat with a dark poloneck and leather pants nevertheless. And even more so, those burgundy bell-bottoms with a nicely-cut grey jacket which had lovely olive-green sequins on the sleeves. Super item for weekdays to work!
What else? To conclude I got the impression that I am as enthusiastic as some of the models judging by thier expressions during the show itself. And also I don´t understand why the designers themselves had better outfits than the whole show put together!
