It was April when Prada announced that Raf Simons would take on the position of cooperative creative director alongside Miuccia Prada. The seasoned veteran hailing from Belgium is known for being creative director of the brand Jil Sander, artistic director of Dior or main creative director of Calvin Klein in the past. And this collaboration seems to have borne sweet fruit!
Remember last year's collection full of long coats, pleated skirts, hideous hats and nightgown-like models? Remember those models disguised as inhabitants of a retirement home that looked ready to get off the catwalk and start browsing through flyers with special offers? Yes, that was Prada, too! But the brand seems to have come a long way since then! And there's little doubt that we can thank mainly Raf Simons for that. It was the first time that the designer participated in the creation of a collection for Prada.
A harmonious duality
The new SS2021 collection holds a fair share of both minimalism and design creativity. While some pieces immediately make you think you could wear them anytime and anywhere, others might require some serious balls and definitely aren't for everyone. The duality of the collection can be spotted at first sight. At the same time, however, all models together form a compact unit.

Poised to wearability
Although we respect Prada as a fashion genius, it rarely happens that we choose more models in their collections than can be counted on the fingers of one hand. That hasn't changed, but at the same time we can see that Prada has finally made a step towards wearable fashion! Which models are definitely worth considering?!

Prada didn't disappoint me - once again, there's nothing I'd like to buy
I don't know why Prada is so expensive, when ninety percent of those things look like leftovers from the Salvation Army. I think my grandmother has most of these models in her basement. Maybe she had the feeling that the fashion of her youth would be in again one day. And she was right. What a pity that her clothes have probably been destroyed by rats or moths, otherwise I would have put it all on the Marketplace and pass it off as Prada...
Dalmantian
Did you know that Dalmatians are supposted to be the dumbest dogs? I don't know if it's true, I've never had one, and I don't even know anyone who does. But if I happen to find someone, I'll point him/her to this model. After all, dogs often resemble their owners. Why couldn't it be the other way around?

Purple is a cheap color
That's what my best friend always said. I never really understood why. Now I do. I bet the material of this luxury nightwear is expensive and feels comfortable. That's why I'd be willing to wear this model to bed, but nowhere else. But only if I went to sleep alone!

Just like Lidl fashion
I've recently downloaded the mobile app of the store closest to my house. Lidl is great, they sell great cookies. But that's about it, because other than that, you'll mainly find there cheap stuff that, sadly, doesn't even pretend to look expensive. I bet that's where Prada found this modern-looking raincoat. The yellow and mustard color is a must this year. But why should spend a gazzillion on a coat from Prada, when I can buy the same one in Lidll for a few hundred? I believe that the dress below will be there too!

Pink, it's the color of passion
Ilona Csáková would be happy. And so would I, because I enjoy this shade of pink. The cut, though? I feel like the model is wearing the dress upside down. Or maybe it's intended for pregnant women, but Prada forgot to mention it? I don't know. Anyway, it's really rude. And if even a skinny model doesn't like it anymore, how will it suit me?
