The Oscar ceremony is over, and the time has come for my sharp tongue to review everybody from the floor, just like I think it should be. Because diplomacy has no place in fashion. Let’s do it!
Nicole Kidman:
Nicole attended the Oscars in an electrifying ultramarine gown by Armani Privé, Harry Winston jewels and sexy black pumps by Christian Louboutin. To the Oscars, really? The giant bow on the hips seemed a bit of a trick by Armani. In fact, it almost looks like they dressed Nicole for the casting of Moulin Rouge 2. Although she is one of the big names in film, I deduct points for this absolute madness. Next time she should opt for a different fashion house!

Allison Williams:
Allison wore a dress that looks like it was made in a fairy-tale kingdom by Walt Disney! This time, Armani surprised me with its dainty embellishments. This gown is so delicate and frail that I could almost imagine it on a bride as a wedding dress. Even on myself, what do you say? A fairy tale!

Jane Fonda:
Jane is an absolute certainty of style and total Hollywood glamour! Even at her age, she surpassed colleagues who are decades younger! In one fell blow, she elegantly swept them onto the second track! I truly bow before her choice, opting for a perfectly fitted dress by Balmain, jewels by Chopard, a clutch by Perrin and bright silver heels by Salvatore Ferragamo. Ladies, here you can clearly see that black will always be outdone by white, which unlike black rejuvenates and brightens one up! I know this only too well, because it’s my favourite colour…
Dress: 100% Hair and makeup: 100% (This would be worth a MILLION PERCENT!)
Meryl Streep:
Meryl opted for a simply cut red gown by Christian Dior Haute Couture, a powder pink handbag by Christian Louboutin, jewels by Fred Leighton and pumps by Stuart Weitzman. At her age, Meryl clearly doesn’t like experimenting with extravagance, and like Jane Fonda places her bet on simplicity. In my view, this is absolutely fine and even if this actress happened to attend the Oscars in a t-shirt from Lidl, it makes no different. For we must always bow down to the queen of cinema!

Emily Blunt:
I really like Emily as an actress and I’ve been admiring her slim figure for years. Nevertheless, the gown she wore to the Oscars by Schiaparelli Haute Couture, matched with Chopard jewellery (which is perfect), did not really thrill me. The pleated dress reminiscent of Victorian style is boring. It all looks rather dull and overly frilly, and unnecessarily hides her sexy figure. I’m a bit confused by this dress… and tired of it!

Margot Robbie:
I always expect Margot to be as sexy as she was in The Wolf of Wall Street. Unfortunately, every time I see her she has short hair and a bit of crazy eye. But if we focus on the dress as such, I have to admit that Chanel did a great job once again. It is clean and only lightly embellished, but again there is nothing new, nothing to make me sigh and say “I wish I could wear that in public one day.” That’s why I rate this as average overall, meaning three points.

Emma Stone:
Emma, in her pantsuit by Louis Vuitton, clearly just wanted to differ from all the other ladies around in their fancy gowns. She succeeded, but she is also the only lady on the photos in our gallery that really missed the mark! I don’t have a problem with the pantsuit as such, it would be great for work. But for the jubilee 90th anniversary of the Oscars?! Was it Emma’s first time?? Wearing something like that to a gala awards ceremony of this type is almost offensive! I wouldn’t let women in outfits like that onto the red carpet at all. Unfortunately, this isn’t the security guards’ problem…

Daniela Vega:
The first actress who is openly transgender like Caitlyn Jenner (Bruce Jenner) wore a raspberry red flowy dress to the Oscars. Although she was assisted by a giant team from a world famous fashion magazine, it was barely enough for 90th Oscars ceremony. But what can we expect from a trans-woman who probably isn’t too sure which restrooms to use?
