This year's MBPFW has been a real struggle. The date when the event should have been held was postponed twice, but as they say, three time's a charm. It finally worked out, and now Fashion Upstream can't wait to judge all the outfits worn by the present stars. What do you think, did they go wild or took a modest approach? Here is your answer!
This beautiful model simply has style and a sense of fashion in her blood. We really enjoy the high waisted trousers in combination with minimalist sandals and a refined corset. Our fashion-loving eye really appreciates the luxurious white nail polish on her toes, which gives the outfit a little boost. Because, as they say, the devil's in the details!
Katka looks like a sweet flower in her beautiful black dress, but don't be fooled, she has thorns! Do you see those shoes with a pointy toe and that seemingly inconspicuous handbag? It is these two key elements that give the outfit the a real spark.
The young film director Eva Doležalová really did it to us with her outfit... in the best possible sense. Dressed like this, she could head to any World Fashion Week without getting lost in the crowd. For some, it might be too bold, but it's perfect for us!
Blogger and fashion critic Ina T. knows very well that at MBPFW, one can go a little wild. Her stylish jumpsuit paired with a COS turtleneck are just what this event needs - and the Tonak hat? A luxurious and timeless affair! The only thing that surprises us a little is the look à la Jack Sparrow… Isn't it about time to get rid of those braids once and for all?
Simona Krainová's model is perfectly fine. But when we look at the other outfits at MBPFW, we can't help but feel a little disappointed… We expected more! Simona might be the kind of star that would shine bright even in a potato bag, but her outfit could really use an upgrade this time. We give it a C!
An all-black outfit that will make your jaw drop? It's possible! Ivana Mentlová served us a much improved version of what we lacked about Simona Krainová. The oversize jacket is simply flawless and so is everything else. Once again, Ivana proved that she knows all the ropes.
We really love Vanda Janda's models, but this didn't work out. The Slovak designer looks like a huge cotton candy puff, and she didn't even have to wear pink to achieve that effect. And the cut of the dress is not exactly flattering either. Hopefully we'll get to see better models at her upcoming fashion show!
Until the very last moment, I had my doubts that this year's Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week would really take place, but in the end the organizers pulled it off - hat's off! And now it's up to me to judge the models our celebrities chose to wear. Alright, here we go!
The mind boggles. The dress by Zuzana Lešák Černá is made of absolutely luxurious material, the black shoes are flawless and so is the pochette. So tell me, why does the model make Gábina look like a prematurely old lady, or like someone who stepped out of the title page of a 90s fashion catalog?!
I would like to point out in advance that I really like Jitka as an actress, but I have an important question for her… WHY? This red dress isn't flattering in the slightest! She looks like if she was wearing a potato sack. Hopefully she'll be wearing something more stylish the next time. I know she can do better!
Okay, this blew me off my socks. Crazy, but amazing! I enjoy how Yemi broke that black boredom with a stylish jacket - and that hair? God! This is exactly the type of bold you want to see at a fashion week. Anyway, it reminds me that I need to see a hairdresser.
Yes. I know I'm going to contradict myself a bit now, because Simona, unlike Yemi, doesn't have a jacket to break the "black boredom" with, but that's not necessary. All you need are stylish sunglasses (even if the day isn't particularly sunny) and the right handbag. Yeah, I envy her that Chanel, I won't lie to you. But even so, I will remain objective and tell you that this beauty simply has style!
Although I usually call for colors, today I seem to have fallen in love with black. I want this oufit in my closet. Not only is it incredibly practical and will hide any pounds that we might have gained during the summer holidays and barbecues, but most importantly, it is perfectly timeless. Right is right, people…
