It doesn't matter the height, weight, measurements, shapes or other bodily dispositions. With a new campaign, Nike is trying to prove that everybody can be an active athlete and model. They have placed full-bodied and handicapped figurines in the flagship shop in London, and customers are thrilled!
Nontraditional figurines are not the first project wehre Nike expressed support for women of larger sizes. The brand launched the first plus-size collection that offered sizes ranging from 1X to 3X back in 2017. Now it has added a range of other luxury styles and colours to the functional and sportswear collection, giving full-bodied women a clear message - Nike the sports giant certainly won't forget about them.
Although the figurines are still only in London's boutique on Oxford Street, the luxury sports brand is planning to expand to other stores around the world in the future. But Nike is not the only company that brings diversity, innovation, and reality to the fashion world.
Plus-size dummies have been also placed by luxury brands Debenhams or Old Navy in their stores in the past. The British brand Missguided has given room to freckles, a rare skin disease called vitiligo, and various ethnicities.
