Are you ready for a good dose of extravagant art, chillingly perfect masks and drawn into a totally different reality than you have ever known? If so, then you're ready for the Prague Quadrenniale!
Výstaviště Holešovice exhibition centre, DAMU premises and many other places will be transformed into a theatre stage from June 6 to June 16. Over 800 artists from all over the world will be presenting their luxurious performances and theatrical arts, and choosing the most interesting will certainly be a challenge for everyone. We are choosing a few highlights from the program that will take you to uncharted territory!
One of the attractions is the container town of CAMPQ as an adaptation camp for alien refugees from distant planets. The source of the idea are performers from Bohemia and you can find it on Štvanice Island. The all-night show will be a luxury show for 3 evenings.
You can see how interesting it is to combine luxury art with technology from June 8th in the Small Sports Hall of the Výstaviště site within the 36Q° project. The space will receive light and sound design, virtual reality and video projection. And we are very curious about this, because it sounds like an unrepeatable trip to unrecognized realities!
Not all performances will be hidden from the public. On the contrary, the public space will come to life with culture. And there will be more than enough! We will definitely not miss out on two Hungarian sets that will show something between a dance and a circus - The Flock Project. So if you go on June 7 at 10:15 am or June 8 at 13:45 around the Mama Shelter, look up. A fascinating aerial vertical dance will be on the wall!
