Lexus is not Just a Jewel of the Roads. The New Yacht LY 650 Will Impress you at Sea!
The Lexus LY 650 yacht was designed in accordance with the maritime division of the Toyota brand, in cooperation with Marquis-Larson Boat Group. The result is a luxury, 65-foot yacht, designed for the really discerning of clients.
It can achieve up to 80 km/h!
It is based on the concept of Lexus Sport Yacht, which is 42 feet long. Looking at the LY 650 you can notice features which are typical for luxury Lexus vehicles. It uses two V8 racing engines of 885 horsepower with maximum speed of 43 knots, i.e. almost 80 km/h.
Of course, this is not the first yacht of this brand, but it certainly is the first yacht of the new era in this luxury class. However, it is not available yet. New future owners will have to wait approximately one more year. It shall be in the market from the second half of 2019.
Will the yacht meet the vision of the brand?
Yoshihiro Sawa, president of Lexus International, whose task is to coordinate all central planning, strategy, design, engineering and production, has a clear vision and objective determined for the Lexus brand. He wants it to be perceived as one which discovers new ways, bringing innovative and amazing experience to its customers.
This vision drives all of the production and processing areas as well as the final designing tasks. Whether the new luxury yacht is capable of delivering an "awesome experience" to the new customers may so far be only speculated upon. However, the concept and the first pictures indicate, that it probably will be so.
