L'Or de Jean Martell: Liquid gold consisting of nearly 400 rare cognacs
The bottle and the cognac itself could be compared to art, they are based on traditions and the flavour of four hundred deluxe rare cognacs, all from the Cognac Region. Or more precisely from the main districts of Grand Champagne and Borderies. Some of the cognacs are over 100 years old and create an indescribable aromatic perfume.
Which flavours can we discover in this cognac?
It is a very difficult task to try to describe such a unique cognac. In any case you will find traces of bergamot, cinnamon, vanilla and myrrh in it. You will encounter the gradually developing full flavours of blackcurrant, orange peel and gingerbread. There is no doubt that the flavour is the absolute best, basically deluxe liquid gold.

The plot takes place in 18th century France, during the unrestrained Art de Vivre period (art of living), which is distinguished by the popularity of French food and drink. Englishman Jean Martell arrived in Paris at this time and the local drinking culture enthralled him so much that he did not hesitate to dedicate his life to it. He tried various spirits and established which was the true, perfect and most deluxe one and tried combining their flavours. However, after 40 years devoted to creating the most delicious alcoholic beverage, he died and passed his sceptre on to his sons. The year 2009 was significant. Martell released a bottle, which had reached its peak, into the world. The work of Jean Martell wash completed.
The Martell Company as a designer
The Martell Company collaborated with French interior architect and designer Eric Gizard, which resulted in a beautiful gift box named “Dôme” for L’Or de Jean Martell. The cognac is contained in a specially modified crystal decanter.
“Curiosities were my inspiration. Collectors kept valuable, nearly magical items in Europe during the Renaissance,” Eric Gizard says
The packaging contains a special box, which is secured and has a series number. You can open it using two handles on the side. The real treasure, in the form of the wonderful bottle, is hidden inside. The mirror placed behind it reflects and enhances the colour of this intensive cognac.
The price of this deluxe beverage begins at CZK 60,000.
