It doesn’t matter whether it is 2018 or 1875, the flavour of oranges is still wonderfully refreshing in the hot summer. In recent years we have enjoyed the Aperol Spritz alcoholic summer drink, which you need Aperol, Prosecco, soda, oranges and ice for. And now there is a new drink in the form of Cointreau Fizz!
It isn’t such a new drink after all. Just a new way of mixing a deluxe French cognac, which has been available since 1875.
This bitter-sweet, refreshing alcoholic drink can be mixed in just a moment. Mix soda, lime juice, add ice and French Cointreau liqueur, which is made the same way as in 1875, without added preservatives and colours.
As well as the fact that it has a pleasant, exotic name suggestive of the summer holidays, it also has a deluxe slightly bitter taste and less alcohol than Aperol Spritz. It is not that heavy and is certainly more subtle. It is excellent for drinking while sitting outside with friends or family and is also very easy to mix.
“It is an elegant and discreet drink, which will surprise you with its refreshing light flavour,“ says Alfred Cointreau, whose family is behind the original recipe and name of the liqueur.
It’s difficult to say, but you can only make a decision after you have tasted a deluxe summer Cointreau Frizz! And this will certainly be a very pleasant task this summer. So let’s get started!
