Luxury models Pop could be tried, ordered or purchased right there and then

It is not too often that a new brand comes in the Czech market. That is why we could not miss the opportunity when one such was presented by the successful young designer, Zuzana Kubíčková. The arriving guests, who included for example singer Klára Vytisková, were welcomed by a drink and the introduction of the brand, Pop, was in the spirit ´SEE NOW BUY NOW´. Directly at the Hauch Gallery, you could therefore try, order and purchase the luxurious pieces.

Pop supplements the already established couture

The Pop brand is to function in parallel with the already established couture work with the option to be purchased online. In the meantime Pop consists only of garments, but in future Zuzana Kubíčková plans to expand the offering by luxury accessories.

The first collection is basic, you will not find any other colour than black and white

The first collection of Pop Spring/Summer 2018 constitutes of practical pieces in the form of little black and white dresses, top of luxury fabrics in combination with lace, pencil skirts, elegant trousers and trench coats. Models are in the classic style of the designer - feminine and above all of high-quality materials.

The faces of the campaign are beautiful women of three generations!

The actress, Jana Stryková, and models Michaela Křivánková, Klára Polanková and Andrea Eva Benýšková are beautiful women of three generations that have become the faces of the Pop campaign. It must be said that the luxury black and white elegance incredibly flatters to all four.

And how would the timeless brand be summed up by Zuzana Kubíčková herself?

"Pop is actually the outcome of my experience gained from my daily work with my clients. I want women to wear clothes that we make, and that is why I am trying to offer a high-quality and at the same time affordable women´s range. Production in limited series allows more favourable prices and timeless, classic cuts in turn provide a greater chance of a longer life of the clothes."

Názor PROTI PROUDU: Ornella Koktová

The talented designer, Zuzana Kubíčková, by her new collections Pop only confirmed to me the fact that she is one of the few in the Czech Republic, whose work does not lack ´Western´ flair. You will notice this need when you compare collections of Kubíčková and for example Liběna Rochová. The difference is obvious at first sight - by which I don´t mean to offend Mrs Rochová, only it would not hurt to add more creativity.

The photos of the collection by their style bring to mind the 1960s, specifically the fire brigade ball in the film of Miloš Forman, Hoří má panenko (The Fireman's Ball) (1967). The tiles, detail of the white curtains, transparent head scarves, old curtain... or those nylon knee-height socks! Such a wit absolutely deserves A+! One is proud straight away to be a Czech woman, am I right?

Most of all my attention was caught by the classic-cut dress without a décolletage with a lace insert collar and a delicate velvet ribbon around the neck. Wow, as this would be lauded to by Coco Chanel herself. Then we also have a super universal A-line skirt with a translucent while top embellished by white lace up to the neck and on the sleeves. This type of fashion is definitely timeless and if you buy anything like this, ladies, you can wear it night and day. And Prague again became small Paris…
