The Libeň bridge leads from here, representing a connection with Holešovice. From Palmovka you can get through Krejcárek to Žižkov and there is a luxury connection also with Karlín, the rest of Libeň and then toward Vysočany.
Although this intersection does not probably inspire anyone´s feeling that it is an exceptional part of Prague, which people looking for housing would fight for, it has a potential that is not negligible.
It is not just a luxurious location close to interesting and lively parts of Prague, such as Holešovice and Karlín, but also a simple and fast connection with the historical centre of Prague and also with its suburbs.
As is well known, everything is changing. Can you for example recall what did Karlin look like ten years ago? A district, where you would hardly have enjoyed a romantic evening walk, now attracts Prague city dwellers to luxurious restaurants, stylish wine bars, state of the art cafés, cultural events or outdoor festivals. The same may happen to Palmovka, too. This is because the city authorities have great plans!
Simply imagine Palmovka in several years. How could it look like? The unsightly intersections could be transformed to a representative square, a new town hall could grow here, as well as luxurious well-maintained parks. New office buildings and apartments would attract new residents and with them new and better services.
An interesting dream, isn´t it? But perhaps it is not just a dream, because exactly that is in the pipeline; some changes could be seen as early as this year, in the form of new benches and litter boxes. Luxury is a result of a gradual process!
