A wonderful pair of shoes from green satin with ankle straps which are almost completely covered in precious stones (11.41 carat diamonds, 48,61 carat rubellites and 38.19 carat amethysts): this is the result of unique collaboration between the Bulgari and Manolo Blahnik brands!

“We have the same vision and equal creative ability to create beautiful things for beautiful women. I really liked the strap. It is simply divine and ideally suited to the lusciously green satin!” Manolo Blahnik

The luxurious precious stones in shades of pink have the shape of chilli peppers. This motif could be seen on the necklace from the Bulgari Festa collection which first saw the light of day this year. And why chilli peppers? They are regarded as a powerful aphrodisiac, are usually part of traditional amulets and last but not least, lend pizzazz to luxury Italian footwear. The unusual combination of purple and green represents energy and originality which both brands excel in.

“We both believe that creativity should serve women to make them feel great. There is no reason why a woman should only wear high heels on the catwalk. Beauty should be worn to spread joy to everyone and always the time,” said the creative director of the Bulgari jewellery collection Lucia Silvestri.

After Prague, the exhibition showcasing a plethora of luxury shoes from the workshop of the designer Manolo Blahnik entitled Art of Shoes, has moved to Madrid where it will be on display at the Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas until 8 March 2018.
