SAG Awards are held annually a week before the Oscars and often indicate who will take the most prestigious film trophy. In addition to the award ceremony itself, the red carpet also attracts attention, where celebrities show off the latest fashion trends. This year, men bet on elegance, but also daring style. Join us in looking at the most discussed men's outfits of the evening.

Ato Essandoh in a maxi skirt

The actor was nominated in the best acting ensemble category for the successful series The Diplomat from Netflix production. For the red carpet, he chose a tuxedo jacket, which he tactically paired with a long maxi skirt, thereby elevating the outfit to other heights. The entire tuxedo set is from the current winter collection by the brand SIVAN.

Carl Clemons-Hopkins in a jumpsuit

The actor from the series The Hacks on the ceremonial carpet demonstrated a model that differed from the others perhaps the most. An oversized jumpsuit with a leather collar, pronounced cuffs and wide trousers looked very timeless and stylish. He completed everything with leather gloves, which match with the collar, and underneath the jumpsuit, he opted for a classic - a white shirt with a patterned tie, which invigorates the model.

Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan

The actor, whose girlfriend is from the Kardashian clan Kylie Jenner, chose a quite controversial, but also entertaining and tasteful outfit. At the awards, he received an award for outstanding actor performance in the main role for the biographical film Bob Dylan: Completely Unknown. Dylan also inspired him in the choice of outfit for the festive evening. He wore a leather jacket and pants with a neon green shirt. He completed everything with a vintage bolo tie from the Cartier brand. With this, he connected the current trend of rock&roll look with a western one.

Oversized suits

The first to choose this type of suit was American actor Chris Perfetti. A pastel blue suit from designer Willy Chavarria might be considered too oversized by some. However, the opposite is true, its cut is timeless and trendy. Exactly the kind of event this type of styling can handle. For the official Oscars, however, this might be too much. In addition, the lapels on the jacket give it a vintage touch, which is a big plus. Under the jacket he wore a simple white tank top and did the best he could, because he emphasised the whole set.

Another one, who chose oversized suit is actor Tyler James Williams. He opted for a suit in a red color with a cinched waist. He complemented it all with wine shoes and a gray top. If he hadn't wore anything under his jacket, or had he opted for a red top and kept an outfit tone-on-tone, it would have looked a little better.

Kadiff Kirwan from the series Slow Horses shone on the red carpet in a short oversized jacket. Underneath, he chose a see-through top and trousers that were tighter than the jacket. Loafers with a massive sole and a brooch on the lapel give the outfit the right touch.

Falling jacket and loose trousers

Another trend nowadays is a falling jacket or tuxedo and loose formal trousers to go with it. This was the direction taken, for example, by Andrew Scott with a set from McQueen, Luke Newton from the series Bridgerton in a suit from Dolce & Gabbana, or Christopher Chung nominated in the category of best acting group for his role in the fourth series of Slow Horses. Additionally, attention was drawn to the red rose which decorated the unusual suit.

Some may find such outfits too much, but one thing is clear, they are more than trendy. A question comes to mind: Is the Czech Republic already prepared and accustomed to such dressing?
