With the help of his key staff and campaign advisers, US President-elect Joe Biden appointed an exclusively female communications team yesterday. He named former Obama State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki as his White House press secretary (Jen Psaki) as White House press secretary and campaign spokesperson (Kate Bedingfield) communications director. Symone Sanders has been named senior advisor for the Biden-Harris campaing.
"I am proud to announce today the first senior White House communications team comprised entirely of women. These qualified, experienced communicators bring diverse perspectives to their work and a shared commitment to building this country back better,"
Biden said in a statement, adding that this would be the first time in history that the main communication roles are filled entirely by women.

Yesterday, there were 1,074 new cases of Covid-19 in the Czech Republic, which is about 400 less than a week ago, making it the lowest number of new infections since September 20. This can be seen from the figures published on the website of the Ministry of Health. The government has thus decided that after several weeks of distance learning, most primary school pupils will return to classes. Schools have already opened to about 216 thousand first-graders and second-graders, as well as 27 thousand pupils in special needs schools. From today, ninth grade students and the rest of the first level of primary school will join them. Sixth to eighth grades will alternate between full-time and distance learning, which means only half of them will meet at school at a time.
Altogether, about 800,000 out of approximately 950,000 schoolchildren will be attending primary schools. Alternate teaching at the lower level of multi-year grammar schools will apply to approximately 40,000 children.

The eight-round exhibition fight between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. ended in a draw. Fifteen years after retiring, the former heavyweight champion faced boxing legend Jones Jr. in a fight called "Frontline Battle". The World Boxing Council (WBC) supported and recorded the four-hour live broadcast at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The rounds were 60 seconds shorter than they normally are - two minutes instead of the usual three. WBC used a remote scoring system to assess the performance of Tyson and Jones Jr. Three legendary champions served as the judges, evaluating and scoring each round with criteria taking into consideration style, technique, effective punching, effective defense, effective aggressiveness, and ring generalship.
"Despite the isolation and tribulations COVID-19 has caused, Tyson and Jones Jr. have shown us that when a person embraces a positive mental outlook, turns on his or her positive mental switch, all challenges can be overcome,”
WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán said in a news release.

George Clooney has finally revealed the secret of his home-made hairstyle. In an interview for Sunday Morning, reporter Tracy Smith asked the actor how he was maintaining his haircut during the pandemic, when all the salons were closed. Clooney admitted that he had been cutting his hair by himself for 25 years.
"So, years ago, I bought a thing called a Flowbee. It comes with a vacuum cleaner and the clippers. Yeah, I still have it. My haircuts take literally two minutes … Listen, man, it works, "
Clooney said in an interview. The Flowbee system sells for $ 99, which is about 2,200 crowns. At one point, when Clooney mentioned the product, the Flowbee website temporarily crashed. Apparently many fans like his hairstyle.
Cher helps the loneliest elephant

The 36-year-old Asian elephant, who has spent most of his life in captivity alone, is on his way to a shrine in Cambodia - partly thanks to the efforts of American pop singer Cher. The only Pakistani elephant in Asia spent years in poor conditions at a controversial zoo in Islamabad, where he suffered from lack of movement and cracked and deformed nails due to living in an unsuitable structure. After Kaavan's (the elephant's name) partner died in 2012, he was named "the loneliest elephant in the world". Since 2016, Cher has been part of a huge social media campaign to relocate him.
Earlier this year, the Islamabad Supreme Court closed the zoo due to poor conditions and granted permission to remove the elephant. Cher learned about this from a Twitter post where she read a statement from the Smithsonian Channel, which is producing a documentary about the story of the elephant.
"I thought how can I fix this? How can I save an elephant who's been shackled to a shed for 17 years and who is a thousand miles away? This is Free The Wild’s first big rescue and I am so proud,"
said Cher, who traveled to Pakistan after sharing this information to sing a song to the elephant.
