Basketball jerseys transformed into dresses, ties, shirts, vests, oversized blazers on one hand and silk fringes, skirts, luxurious fur coats or elegant dresses on the other. What does Miuccia Prada want to tell the public with the new Fall 2020 collection?
The brand comes with a clear message - pretty much any fashion item can be perfectly incorporated in both the female and male world. You just need to know how to do it. Remember Carrie and her luxurious and iconic tuxedo that she wore in Sex in the City at the wedding of her best gay friend Stanford Blatch? The model made an indelible mark on film fashion history.
And it's not only about tuxedos. A tie or a knitted vest can also have a place in a woman's wardrobe. Don't be afraid to follow in Miuccia Prada's footsteps and pair such pieces with silk-fringed skirts, massive beaded necklaces or belts that highlight feminine curves. In the case of unisex fashion items, a universal rule applies - do not suppress femininity, but allow it to make its way to the surface by all available means.
Fringes are the alpha and omega of the Fall 2020 collection; they adorn coats, ensebles, dresses as well as tops. Yet the Fall 2020 collection also features luxurious transparent fabrics that add a touch of sensuality. However, in order to preserve the original unisex idea, Miuccia Prada complemented them with oversized blazers in multiple cases.
However, the puffy vests and jackets, suitable only as a protection for sumo wrestlers, are a chapter of their own. If you're ever unable to come up with a cool program for your next garden barbecue or birthday party, get yourselves the Prada Fall 2020 collection and jump in the square ring!
There will be lots to choose from this autumn, that much is evident from the Prada collection. I am glad that it is very diverse this time and I can pick from a wide range of options. From uninsulated fringes to neoprene. However, I don't think this thing will keep you warm in the water. So don't even think about jumping into the Vltava in this outfit!
Not only would this shade of pink frighten the fish, but there's also a fur coat hidden under the glossy material, which means you'd unavoidably be pulled down to the bottom. Aside of that, I commend the cut. Vests are great to wear in the autumn and the cut of this one is generous to those of us who were cheated out of perfect curves by nature. What scares me, though, are the shoes. It is uncanny how much they resemble the classic Czech sandals...
I guess there's a fox overpopulation or something. Otherwise I can't explain this. I thought fur coats were a thing of the past. Unless, of course, the hair isn't real... But seeing as this is Prada, I suppose it is. Animal protectors with me in the lead role are sounding the alarm. Let it be said once and for all that only prehistoric people had the right to wear animal furt, because it took them a long time to discover cotton...
This model looks perfect. From shoes to neck. However, even though fringes were huge in the eighties and they keep coming back... Don't you think that when it gets a little windy outside, this skirt is completely useless? I imagine the wind playing with the fringes as I try to chase them one by one and reassemble them so that I wouldn't have goose bumps on my legs...
I like oversize things, especially baggy dresses. But it's not for everyone. I like the choice of colors on this model, it reminds me of a basketball jersey. Anyway, the big holes for arms are awesome. I'm also excited about the combination with sneakers and pants underneath. The crown just underscores the indecisiveness of the entire model - should I be elegant or sporty today?
