The official opening of the exhibition took place with great fanfare. The Palais de la Porte Doree in Paris, where the designer of luxury footwear exhibits the marvelous products of his creativity, is constantly busy. Some of the shoes on display here have never been exhibited before. You have to see them with your own eyes!

Be careful not to go weak in your knees!

The exhibition, entitled L'Exhibition (Niste), is indeed a phenomenal event, encompassing 30 years of Louboutin's life. You'll discover where he found inspiration for his legendary Nudes luxury shoes and witness his spectacular cooperation with Yves Saint Laurent. The gold stilettos on the platform, depicting the golden era of Hollywood, originally owned and worn by Mae West, demonstrate his penchant for illusions. There is also a special piece for all romantic souls on display. A real glass slipper like the one from Cinderella, made of shiny crystals, lace and leather, featuring, of course, Louboutin's iconic red sole. In addition, you'll be able to admire Wedgwood porcelain, a Vivant Denon collection of Egyptian objects and surrealistic works by Joseph Cornell.

Where and what does Christian Louboutin draw inspiration from?

Are you wondering where Christian Louboutin gets his unique ideas, what his muse is? Why do women all over the world love his models, and men turn around and stare at the ladies wearing these luxury shoes?

"Everywhere I go, I always find something that speaks to me. A garden, a museum, a temple, a concert or some element of architecture. I try to be open even to things and places that others pass by,"

said Christian Louboutin. The exhibition will run until July 26, 2020.
