Dominika Kozáková and Jan Souvenir were the only designers who decided to present their collections not traditionally in Invalidovna, but in the swim premises. And looking at the bold fashion creations and white tiles in the background, we couldn't help but feel that we became part of the next sequel to Saw!
The Slovak designer excelled at MBPFW for the second year and confirmed that she would not respect the rules or create collections that anyone could wear! She is a provocateur who builds her own universe full of punk, revolution, feelings and impressions of the young generation.
The new SS20 collection is not different, dominated by bold colors, bold cuts, unconventional combinations of materials and last but not least - Smurfs, or people who just before the show fell into a bucket of blue color.
Although the collection of Dominika Kozáková is very extravagant, we found in it one model that we could easily bring to the party, and we would not disgrace its name in it! We like not only the luxury-looking material, but the cut itself and the play of colors. And in combination with tanned skin after a holiday this will just be amazing!
We applaud Dominica and wish her a lot of creative imagination to create another collection. Fortune favours the bold and if her extravagant fashion finds its clientele, then it is only good. After all, if everyone walked around in gray, white and black, the world around us would be pretty boring!
When I first opened the photo gallery from the Dominika Kozáková show, I thought of just one word “WOW”. So here the sentence, take what you want, combine it absolutely with anything and you will be completely unmistakable is a must.
These models are from another world, but rightfully belong to today's real world. Taking into account what is happening all around, from politics, through the art industry to the soldiers in Vietnam, this is such a multicolored world full of surprises and great expectations and shocks that we don't really have to think about this collection in any particular way. The models are totally fictional, colorful, breathtaking, crazy, almost unbelievable. At first glance, you will look at them open-mouthed and will not understand how a designer can design this and you will still keep your eyes on them and wait for another model to be presented at the show.
These models, for a normal person who goes to work for 8 hours, is locked in the office and has to wear those "boring" clothes, are absolutely unwearable, but for those who love total extravagance, want to be seen and can come out on the street in anything, for them it's just delight. The designer here does not think whether something fits together or not, whether it will fit even people who are oversized, whether it is a rigid material or a material that you just slide into, whether the print on the dress has an animal pattern.
Dominica has created a completely free collection with no limits. I would just think here again, what will happen with the collection and where will it find its application, because in our home land, it probably will not. Abroad, her hands would be kissed by everyone. I am personally keeping my fingers crossed.
This is just such a crazy model that it fascinates me. From head to toe it is thought out in detail. Including makeup and great shoes that might not be very comfortable.
Put on your shoes and tie the other one around your neck and we can go for a walk in Prague. And when it gets cold, take a beanie. Just great
