The second coronavirus wave has hit hard Europe hard. French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel ordered a mandatory lockdown for their citizens on Wednesday.

"The virus is spreading faster than even the most pessimistic predictions suggested,"

the 42-year-old Macron, who has been in office for three years, justified the decision of the French government.

The French safety measures will enter into force tomorrow. Apart from shopping for groceries, necessary trips to medical facilities and travel to work (if working from home is impossible), or an hour-long exercise in the fresh air, the French should not go out. However, children can still go to school. Germany closes all bars, restaurants and theaters from November 2 until the end of the month. Schools won't be closing in Germany either and shops may remain open subject to certain measures.

The coronavirus pandemic also has its positives. This year, more than 2,200 young of the olive ridley sea turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea), which is one of the smallest members of the Cheloniidae family and belongs to endangered species, hatched on a beach in northern Mexico. This is more than a fourfold increase compared to previous years. These turtles lay their eggs on the beaches of Mexico from May to September. This year's high number of hatchlings can be attributed to the fact that fishing and tourism have been severely limited, as a results of which the nests haven't been disturbed.

These three famous brands have long been taking turns at the top of the list. Gucci returns to the throne of fashion after more than a year. Other luxury fashion houses such as Prada, Balenciaga, Burberry and Valentino can also be found in the top ten hottest brands in the world. The celebration 40th birthday party of model and businesswoman Kim Kardashian caused a stir. In the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, a spectacular party was held on a private island. Many social network users judge Kim very harshly for throwing a party at a time like this. One of the most watched American celebrities defended the celebration on her Twitter.

"After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island, where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time."

However, this explanation wasn't enough for many people, who started making fun of Kanye West's wife on social networks.

The resort, called Sharaan by Jean Nouvel, is approximately 350 kilometers north of Medina. In a close proximity of the hotel, you can find the remains of a Nabataean town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel will feature a total of 40 rooms and three holiday villas built into the cliffs. Each suite will have a balcony overlooking the surrounding countryside. The entrance to the hotel will be from a circular courtyard, carved into a sandstone slope. The project includes an elevator shaft with a height of 80 meters. The planned completion date was set for 2024.
