Sunday, 26 November will not be as restful for the most beautiful girls in the world as it will be for us. They will be meeting face-to-face in a battle for the luxury crown, awarded to only one of them judged to be the most beautiful girl in the whole universe.
Have you already looked at their profiles and have you already got any tips on who will win? The gallery below contains photos of the ones which we in the editorial staff consider to be the most interesting!
Last year, it was Iris Mittenaere, a brunette from France who won the competition in the Philippine city of Manilla. Second place was taken by Raquel Pélissier, an exotic beauty from Haiti and Andrea Tovar from Columbia took third place. Unfortunately, the Czech Andrea Bezděková did not even make it into the top thirteen.
All three girls were truly beautiful, just like all the others it must be said. However, there can be only one winner. Who do you think it will be this year to earn the luxury crown?
According to our small survey on Facebook, the American Kára McCullough and the Columbian beauty Laura González have a good chance. On the other hand, there does not seem to be much faith in our Michaela Habáňová. But she may just surprise us in the end. Either way, we will be keeping our fingers crossed for her!
And what does Ornella think? Have a look at her opinion which goes against the flow! :)
Miss Universe is an international beauty show which many a young girl undoubtedly dreams of. When I went through the list of finalists carefully, I was amazed that some of them had won the title of Miss in their country at all! I was probably most surprised by participation by the Georgian Mariam Gogodze, who looks as if somebody put a dishevelled little poodle on her head.
Surprisingly, one of my favourites this year is our fellow Czech Michaela Habáňová, who I would rank third. By chance, I met her at a photo shoot once, where she came across as really nice and she had lovely feminine curves.
I hesitated for a long time about who to award second and third place to, but in the end, I chose the Israeli Adar Gandelsman for second place and gave the top spot to the German Sophia Koch. Just between us, after Heidi Klum, she is surely the only beautiful German woman I have ever seen in my life. Credit where credit is due!
