Following the previous successful partnership between the fashion brands, the Czech scene was in for another. The unconventional sneaker store Footshop and the luxury brand LAFORMELA introduced a second collection. It is called NO SEASON, reflects the frantic urban style and brings a new perspective to street wear. In the second part of the show, LAFORMELA also presented its FW 18 collection.
When one hears LAFORMELA, one can usually expect a wave of playful colours to flood the scene, regardless of whether it is a spring or autumn collection. Even this time, there was fresh lime, petroleum, red and bright green to be seen in the NO SEASON and FW 18 collection, in addition to classic colours.
The shirt dresses which LAFORMELA introduced in the FW 18 collection in light blue and red versions are a definite must have item for autumn. The winner is our view is the red mini, which needs only be paired with a stylish leather jacket to create a perfect look!
The luxurious show revealed the latest autumn trends, which include luxurious coats of striking patterns and colours, pleated skirts and dresses, striped and checkered shirts, luxurious denim garments such as jeans and jackets, and men’s overalls. In cooperation with Footshop, LAFORMELA designed these in maxi and mini dimensions of denim.
Footshop’s mission is to inspire people through its products, while LAFORMELA want to offer its customers memories and a feeling of freedom. The luxurious NO SEASON collection is full of freedom and inspiration, so it is no wonder that this stellar collaboration simply works. It is just a question of time when we can expect a third collection. We find it hard to believe that this would be the last one!
Sure, this Czech-Slovak brands affordability deceives the crowd, which clapped in surprise at the very end (because it’s proper to do so). But I seriously doubt that any of the people present will head over to Dušní Street to spent 5,000 CZK on what looks like a worn out black sweatshirt from Lidl.
What made me laugh nostalgically were the men’s string-tied shell shorts. I’m not kidding, my dad seriously wore exactly the same ones in neon purple for tennis in around 1996 on the Průhonice courts! And we still laugh at this fashion blunder by ADIDAS when watching home videos all these years later… But back to 2018: are they serious?
The women’s range isn’t even worth discussing. If you want to look like Ugly Betty, who hasn’t got a chance in life, then definitely reach for something from LAFORMELA... or rather LALOSERA? Hard to say.
