From May to Philadelphia by Direct Flights with American Airlines!
Every ten seconds one aircraft of American Airlines takes off, daily the company carries out 6,700 flights. On 5. May Prague will be added to the list. The airline as well as the Airport of Václav Havel have great expectations from this step. According to Václav Řehoř, Chairman of the Board, Airport Prague should attract to Bohemia not only more tourists but also investors from the USA.
"We will encourage American Airlines to the maximum, trying to ensure that after time the seasonal flights will be extended to longer-term or whole-year ones," Václav Řehoř said at the press conference.
100 years since the establishment of Czechoslovakia also represents 100-year anniversary of relations of our country with the USA.
Thanks to the new connection these relations could be deepened allowing cooperation between the countries in the economic sector to be broadened to a greater extent. This is because so far, many of USA investors have been deterred precisely by the lack of a direct connection with the USA, Václav Řehoř explained.
The connection should attract more tourists from the USA to Prague and to Bohemia in general. We were interested in what the Americans most value in Prague. Roberto Antonucci, Director Sales Europe, American Airlines revealed:
"Prague is a beautiful city. I admire the wonderful architecture, the Vltava River and the very pleasing prices, too. I have been here for the first time in January of this year and I am already looking forward to come back here with my wife; we will enjoy it here as tourists, without hectic work."

Philadelphia: a significant city and air node
In addition to Philadelphia being a historically important city where history of the USA began to be written, it is also the largest American transport node as regards air transport. People from Philadelphia may get a flight to a total of 160 destinations within the US and Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America, which is very good news for those who are heading to other destinations.
