The luxurious Marriott Hotel was founded in 1927 by J. Williard Marriott. It is a demonstration of how dreams can grow into something utterly unpredictable, spectacular and luxurious. At first, he and his wife opened a lemonade stand in Washington.

The first and second equally important opening of the hotel
The fairy tale-like story begins in 1957 in Arlington, Virginia, with the opening of the first Twin Bridges Marriott Motor Hotel. Their second hotel, Key Bridge Marriott, emerged in the Rosslyn neighborhood of the same city, it is the longest operating Marriott International hotel and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009.
