Marni SS 2018 Collection? It needs a great deal of courage!
During the Milan Fashion Week the catwalk turned into a garden full of roses and blossoming trees. The creative director of the Francesco Risso brand presented a playful collection of SS 2018, which requires from its female clients a great deal of courage!

Francesco Risso puts together unheard-of combinations!
It seems that in the creation of the collection, Francesco Risso did not adhere to any strict rules and with the playful SS 2018 collection the word ´combination´ acquired a completely new dimension. The collection of the luxury Italian brand consists mainly of skirts and dresses of midi and maxi length, but there are also trousers and layered tops which at first sight resemble a swimsuit. Marni confirms that a notable fashion designer may put together unheard-of combinations!
Did the luxury brand say goodbye to feminine curves?
The starting point for the creation of the collection was the idea of a young woman of modern times on a skateboard. This free approach is evident from the luxury pieces. The pink-green dress presented at the outset of the show is made of luxury satin and decorated with precious stones, but its loose cut suppresses any sensual female curves to a considerable degree. The hallmarks of elegance was lost by the strange fraying and a grey side panel of a totally inappropriate fabric.
The spirit suppressing any sensual shapes is notable in respect of a great part of the collection. However, sensual curves is what actually makes a woman and this should be recognised by any recognised fashion designer or stylist!
Furs wherever you look
One of the key materials of the collections was fur. It embellished a large number of furs, bathrobes, handbags, shoes and other accessories.
Looking back over the entire SS 2018 collection, one cannot but say what has been said a million times before - sometimes, less is more.

Collection á la a "stuffed whale in action"!
When creating the new Marni collection, Francesco Risso probably has not decided until the very last moment, whether to send plus-size or anorectic models to the catwalk. In the end it was the usual clothes-horses but somehow the huge dresses remained. Perhaps he wants to start a new trend that would dictate a hot look of a "stuffed whale in action"?
Apart from the cream silk dress bearing an artistic painting of a woman with a similarly decorated coat, accompanied by a forget-me-not-blue fur, this collection is completely out! Like, I am sorry, but that coat like from the film 101 Dalmatians, with, moreover some rag attached, that is dragging behind - what is that?! Perhaps Francesco got together with Cruella De Vil! (LOL)
The handbags and shoes are wearable but the rest is totally unusable … Finito!
