The Luxury Yacht, Seven Seas, is too Small for Steven Spielberg. He Longs for a Bigger one!
Notoriously-known director, Steven Spielberg, who has assets worth 3,6 billion dollars, ordered one of the most recognisable yachts to be built. It is 86 metres long, the internal capacity is 2,750 tonnes and it is called Seven Seas.
Spielberg loves water, and he was contemplating the ordering of construction of a new yacht
The ship was delivered in 2010 by the Dutch Shipyard Oceanco and the most striking feature of the yacht is its huge swimming pool on the main deck. There is also a jacuzzi on the bow, which is also accessible via the main lounge, plus there is also a gym. In the main lounge a 5-metre screen fitted of a film format. The yacht has engines of 9,360 horse power and a maximum speed of 20 knots. The crew is composed of 23 people who cater to 12 guests in 6 cabins.
In 2015 it was announced that Spielberg will build a new, larger yacht and sell Steven Seas because he became so fond of sailing the ocean that he wants to spend more time at sea with his friends. Three years later, however, it is still unclear whether Spielberg in the end did build a yacht of a length of 300 feet.
The famous film director excels in the air, too
The Seven Seas, was, at the time of its delivery the 48. largest yacht in the world. It currently ranks at 94. place. The globally renowned director has been for nearly six decades ranking as the 500th richest man in the world. His profits globally reached more than 9.3 billion dollars. He is currently the 184th richest man in America.
In addition to his 86-metre yacht, Spielberg is the owner of private aircraft, Gulfstream G650. It is one of the longest private aircraft worldwide. The price of the G650 model is estimated at 66.6 million dollars.
