A wine cellar – a room that true connoisseurs of wine will be very particular about. Most frequently it combines wood, bricks and stone, but there are no bounds to one’s imagination. These luxurious areas are often supplemented with pieces of art: paintings, statues or sculptures are a perfect fit for the sophisticated feel of the whole area.
Luxurious wine cellars and rooms can be found in a range of exclusive resorts and hotels – a perfect inspiration for your own creation. Those which are several meters tall are no exception, and sometimes the waiter needs to get the chosen wine using a special elevator.

The right environment to store wine
High-quality wine should be stored in a dark environment with a relative humidity of 65-80 %. Lower humidity could lead to oxidation and drying of corks, while higher humidity can lead to molding of cork and labels. The temperature in the wine cellar should range from 8 to 12 °C, in exceptional cases up to 16 °C.
