The Luxurious Taste of Italy in Prague: The Cooking Art of Riccardo Lucque and his team

Italian chef in Prague
Riccardo Lucque has been interested in gastronomy since the age of 16. He began his career in his homeland of Italy, and later became the executive chef of five prestigious restaurants in London, the most famous of which is Zafferano. Yet in 2002, fate brought him to Prague, where he started out as executive chef at Square Restaurant on Malostranské náměstí.
First luxury Italian restaurants
It wasn’t long and the enterprising chef opened his own luxury restaurant. Aromi in Prague’s Vinohrady district has existed since 2005 and offers visitors delicious seasonal dishes, fresh fish and seafood.
Not long after Aromi opened, Prague gained another fine establishment, namely La Finestra in Cucina near Old Town Square, which Riccardo Lucque opened with Ondřej Rákosník as the new co-owner. The restaurant specialises in the superior preparation of meat from Italian, Spanish and American organic farms.
Italian delicacies in bistro style
The teamwork of these two former colleagues proved to be a success. They gradually opened a series of luxury bistros, with five currently scattered around Prague. Lovers of Italian cuisine can buy top-quality ingredients or savour them in the welcoming premises of the shop. The opening of the La Bottega Linka bistro in 2016 is merely the latest in a series of projects by Riccardo Lucque and Ondřej Rákosník.
