The summer season is in full swing, all the resorts are bursting at the seams, Charles Bridge is overloaded with tourists, and Paris offers the most romantic warm nights. Where to go to discover real Paris?
Even in the Czech Republic there are a few popular markets with the freshest food and delicious homemade meals. If you visit Paris, I recommend visiting the Bastille Market, located on the boulevard Richard Lenoir. It is not a tourist trap or a souvenir shop. The markets include clothing, flowers, food, books, furniture, crafts, cheeses, wine and a unique atmosphere created by the locals.
I like to come here for fresh pancakes or oysters, buy quality meat and they have a huge selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. For 300 g of fresh shrimp you will pay 100 crowns, for a whole roast chicken 330 and for a pancake or another meal you will pay approximately 100 to 150 crowns per serving. The Bastille is unique in its architecture, street art, including the painted buildings around the Saint Martin Canal.
Stroll around to explore the mysterious alleys. Just enter this neighbourhood and you will love it here! You will find home-made restaurants of real Parisians, live street music and local food you will never forget. Until you meet the locals, you never have a chance to understand culture.
It is said that the Parisians are too proud of their language and it is difficult to communicate with them in another language. This quarter is well situated, both locals and people from other countries live here. You will certainly speak English! If you go out in the early evening, you will find groups of people standing outside, laughing everywhere and standing in front of the restaurants and tasting local specialities to try.
This picturesque Parisian part is located in the east of Paris and can be reached easily by metro. You can visit the magnificent Chateau de Vincennes, where you will pay 250 crowns for entry, as well as the Paris Flower Garden, where you will find an adrenaline park. In the flower garden you only pay entry from June 4 to September 24 and only 60 crowns per person. Children up to 7 years old have free entry. The adrenaline park costs approximately 350 crowns per person. In Vincennes you will also find many restaurants, cafes and shops.
Aquaboulevard is an amusement water park, which is Disneyland not only for children but also for adults. Located in the southwest of Paris, the metro goes here. You will find indoor and outdoor pools, restaurants, a sandy beach, cinema, water slides, wake boarding for bold, sea waves, as well as sauna world. Admission costs 800 crowns for an adult and 550 crowns for a child from 3 to 11 years. After 5pm you will pay half. Opening hours are really generous, from 9:00 to 23:00 and on weekends until midnight!!!
Paris has unparalleled charm, energy and a rich history you will not find anywhere in the world. Take a walk into the unknown. You will enjoy the romantic city of lights the most when you really get lost.
