The Czech-Slovak ball is one of the biggest cultural and social events of the ball season in both countries. It will open its dance floor this Saturday. This prestigious event does not go without known stars of culture and politics every year, who will show their dance creations on the dance floor. This year, among other things, the organizers promise a really packed music program.
This exceptional evening is associated with refinement, beauty, elegance, charm, and above all with gentlemanliness. "I believe that we will all enjoy this evening full of emotions and unforgettable melodies again", invites the director of production Lumír Mati. The unforgettable gala evening will be entertained by the presenter duo consisting of Eva Perkausová and Adam Bardy.
This year again, the ball will take place in the rooms and halls of the Prague Municipal House. Each hall has something to offer its guests. Smetana Hall will traditionally be under the baton of the Gustav Brom Radio Big Band, along with soloists Andrea Zimányiová, Ivana Regešová, and Zuzana Gamboa. The Big Band will be accompanied by the String section of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under the joint baton of Vladimír Valovič. Traditional music lovers will also have their share, as there will be a cimbalom music and performances by folk ensembles, including the ethnic folk ensemble Limbora.
Alongside the already traditional program this year, several singing stars have accepted the invitation.
"Three main stars will appear on stage, taking care of the musical program for the gala evening. Guests can look forward to a performance by Czech singer Anna K, the current holder of the Angel Award for Song of the Year Valley of Bees, musician Janko Ledecký, who is also a holder of the Angel Award, and Slovak singer Jana Kirschner, multiply winner of the Golden Nightingale, who is returning to the stage of the Czech-Slovak Ball after 10 years,"
Lumír Mati revealed.
Janek Ledecký made it clear that it's precisely the Czech-Slovak reciprocity that he enjoys about the whole thing. He also revealed that he will be playing songs that he recorded in Slovakia and are therefore associated with both countries.
The organizers also provide a platform for emerging singing stars. This year's choice fell to the opera and musical singer Martin Gyimesi, who will handle his performance with grace. In addition to his own repertoire, he will also sing hits by Karel Duchon from the musical "Play On My Heart!"
The first Czech-Slovak ball took place on February 1, 2014, and today it is considered one of the most significant events of the year in both countries. You definitely should not miss the opportunity to attend this exceptional event, as it will leave a deep impression and unforgettable memories on you.
